Sujit Ghosh Wins AVRA Young Scientist Award

Dr Sujit Ghosh, Associate Professor in Chemistry at IISER Pune, has won the AVRA Young Scientist Award for 2017.

Sujit GhoshThe award, constituted by the A V Rama Rao Research Foundation, promotes and encourages excellence in science & technology and comes with a cash prize and memento. The parent concern of the Foundation is a Hyderabad-based contract research and manufacturing service company, Avra Laboratories. The A V Rama Rao Foundation is committed to identifying and nurturing scientific talent in the country and provides a forum for discussing various aspects related to organic and materials chemistry.

Dr Sujit Ghosh, recipient of the Award for 2017, works in the area of inorganic and materials chemistry. His group is involved in research on various aspects of materials chemistry like molecular frameworks of various kinds, development of chemical sensors, and supramolecular chemistry & crystalline engineering. The AVRA Young Scientist Award will be presented to Dr Ghosh on Technology Day (May 11, 2018) at CSIR-IICT, Hyderabad.
